Hit Monkey | Background Direction and Backgrounds

As Background Director on this ambitious new series, I helped establish the show's visual foundation- conceptualizing the background style and building a robust asset library and pipeline. I created an 85-page style guide complete with painting tutorials, color guides, and production-ready assets that empowered the team to deliver work that exceeded both quality and timeline expectations. Additionally, I led a team of artists, handling task delegation, scene breakdowns, and style coaching while maintaining close communication with art direction and production to ensure creative alignment.
